Hand-drawn by KOORELOO’s Creative Director, Athena draws inspiration from Phidias’ legendary chryselephantine statue of Athena, the monumental gold-and-ivory figure that stood at the heart of the Parthenon during antiquity, embodying wisdom, craftsmanship and creative power.

Placed inside every KOORELOO bag, she represents the world within: the unseen layers of strength, imagination and spirit that can be even more powerful than what is seen. The original drawing later became the starting point for a wider series of artworks exploring the radiance, dynamism and creative force of the human spirit through art and design.
